Iliac crest reduction
Treats the high iliac crest, which is what prevents a narrow waist when bone — not fat — defines the contour. It aims for a more harmonious transition between waist, hip and buttock.

What the study measured
How it was studied
The study measured 200 women before surgery, immediately after and at six months: mean waist went from 83.11 cm to 72.31 cm and held at 72.06 cm at six months.
The distance between the last palpable rib and the iliac crest increased by 3.8 cm on average: that is the space that visually defines the waist.
What the study does not allow us to claim
10% of patients had pain lasting less than two months, which was treated.
The study is level of evidence 4 with six-month follow-up. Candidacy depends on each patient's bone anatomy.
